It’s been a month and a half working in Grand Millennium. It’s one hell of a 5-star hotel. Yes, there are always pros and cons on certain places but heck, as long as I am enjoying myself there. It’s always nice to see someone returning your smile. There are also some trainees over there who reminds me a lot about my training days back at Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi. Ate Raylyn, if you are reading this, I just wanted to say how much I’d like to thank you for taking care of me during those days. I am really glad to have stepped inside the dark, eerie, hostel where I first met you.
Working at Grand Millennium KL is one tough job. I seriously need a good foot reflexology right now. I have said that since the first week I started working. Sadly, I never made it. Met new friends once again. I am permanently at the reception right now, still in the process of learning. My supervisors are great; Ayu & Jasmine. Oh well, everyone have their own characteristics, so yeah. Anyway, everyone is really very helpful. A lot of them simply put smiles on my face. High occupancy just passed, now it’s still high, and I was hoping I could sell people some suites *wink* But I seriously have to get my basics straight first.
Just had our staff party, Bollywood themed. It was my first staff party ever. And, it was quite exciting, except the part where one of the staff burnt himself down his throat. He should have been more careful. I have no clue who or how he is right now. But the last I heard, he was hospitalized. Oh! And I got myself six Gurallar glasses (More for decoration purposes). Couldn’t believe that even new staffs have prizes. How nice of them.
Oh and not to mention, my car skidded at the flyover opposite SS15. Thank God I managed to slip between the victim and the Myvi. I saw a few people running away from my car. That should teach them not to stand in the middle of the road then. Seriously, Malaysia is full of SELFISH citizens, and yet they slow down just to “scout the situation”. If you want to help, then stop at the corner of the road and help, or call an ambulance? If not, DRIVE! (And that means driving at normal speed, NOT 20kmh.)
Just a quick update on some certain things.
